This probably should be the first question, just email me and I will get back to you promptly. If I am booked I will gladly refer you to another talented photographer.
I love documenting the beauty, emotions and all the special moments of a wedding gathering. Being able to capture, preserve and share all these memories with my camera is personally rewarding and a privilege.
3. What will you be wearing to the wedding? I dress appropriate for the occasion, blending in the environment and dressing as a guest. A sport coat/suit is my usual attire. No skinny jeans or flip flops.
5. Do you have backup gear? Absolutely, additional cameras, lenses, memory cards and batteries, etc are carefully packed and easily accessible should the need arise. Nikon is my choice of camera by the way.
6. My fiancée doesn’t like to pose and is not comfortable in front of the camera, what is your approach. We hear this all the time. A big part of my approach is to work quickly, coach you when needed and make the experience fun. When people are relaxed, and having a good time the emotions and energy shows through the images.
7. Will I receive my digital files? I include full size unwatermarked digital files with a royalty-free license to use, display and reproduce your images for your personal enjoyment.
8. Are there any hidden fees? All the prices are listed and explained beforehand . Once a contract is signed, the prices are locked in. Some clients choose to upgrade their album after the wedding or purchase professional prints which is optional. Parking and out of state travel/hotel accommodations are all discussed beforehand. We include design editing and basic retouching services in our album price. We are always happy to answer any questions so just let us know.
9. Do we need a second photographer? This is optional, larger weddings with multiple locations in the city are usually the ones that we recommend having a second photographer for. The cost is $650 for a second photographer which we are happy to provide. I have photographed hundreds of weddings solo or with an assistant and use many camera techniques to cover multiple angles long and short. Hiring the right photographer that knows where to be, what lens to use and remain unobtrusive especially in the church are a few important things to consider. I would be glad to make a recommendation for your particular event.
10. Why do the prices vary so much from different photographers/Studios?
You are really paying for the time, talent and level of professionalism of a photographer which varies by their experience, commitment and quality standards. Many larger studios sub contract part timers and maintain a business model based on high volume lower upfront costs. In the end, you may find that the upsell and add ons will actually cost more than going with an independent photographer. I represent myself as an independent artist and have fully committed to photography as a full time profession. I work with a smaller group of clients to best provide and maintain high quality standards.
11. Are you available on my wedding day?
This probably should be the first question, just email me and I will get back to you promptly. If I am booked I will gladly refer you to another talented photographer.
12. How do I hire you as my photographer?

How much experience do you have photographing wedding? How will this benefit me? I have photographed over 600 weddings ranging in size from 9 guests to over 900. Peace of mind, confidence and trust in your photographer are a few main benefits of hiring an experienced photographer. I like to keep up on the latest technology and trends while also refreshing the key fundamentals of portrait and wedding photography.

4. Do we really need to hire a professional, my friend has a nice camera and offered to be our photographer. This can be risky since a reshoot is not an option. A highly trained and skilled photographer doesn’t rely on luck. Producing excellent photographs on a consistent basis really takes experience, training and a big commitment to maintaining high quality standards. A great attitude and ability to solve unexpected problems quickly can be invaluable on your wedding day.
